XAVIER OMÄR

CHALLENGE:

Xavier Omär needed a consistent designer and art direction as he continued to grow his career and audience as a musician. Starting with his first headline tour, he needed stage and lighting design provided by me. Following his debut sold out tour, he needed a tour poster and merchandising design for his first European headlining tour. Continuing his touring career, he needed more stage design and merchandising for his second headlining North American tour. In addition to his recent debut album, he used me to create the album merchandise.

CREATIVE APPROACH:

Starting with his first tour, I created stage design and lighting positions to emphasize the project he was touring called “Pink Lightning.” Photo examples below show the themes we executed on the road. In addition to stage design, I oversaw the art direction for the poster and merchandising assets. Following the success of this tour, I became lead creative for his “European Champion Tour.” In designing assets, he wanted to remake the “European Champion” WWE title belt. I was able to recreate the title belt to make it go in tune with his brand and show dates. In creating the merch, he wanted simple, classic tour shirts. Using font and spacing, I created simple, yet visual pleasing layouts to display cities and dates. With continued touring success, I created stage and lighting design for his second North American tour. Pictures of prop fabrication and lighting themes listed. The theme of the tour was a live radio show broadcast so I created a shirt reflecting a fun summer radio station concert with creating radio logo and themes to represent a vintage radio station.

With Xavier’s debut album, I created merchandise that represents the overall theme of the project and videos. Following recent elements in design, I used bold shapes and font with puff ink to create products that would feel like great quality. These products have had great success and have sold out on two separate drops.
